A Spa-Inspired Bathroom Remodel
The homeowner came to us with a clear goal: create a private, sound-isolated space for music recording in the basement. The space was unfinished — exposed concrete, open framing, and zero acoustic treatment. The challenge was turning this raw basement into a clean, functional studio without disturbing the rest of the home.
We started by framing a dedicated room inside the basement footprint, using staggered studs for better sound isolation. Then came the acoustic insulation, double-layer drywall with Green Glue soundproofing compound, and sealing all gaps and seams. Electrical was custom-routed for studio gear, with low-profile lighting added. Every step was focused on performance and quiet operation.
The finished studio is now fully enclosed, quiet, and professional-grade. Acoustic panels were installed on the walls and ceiling for sound control. Luxury vinyl plank flooring adds durability and a polished look. It’s a space the client can use every day without worry — and without disturbing the rest of the house.
